Title: Branch Operations Support

Basic Function:
Reporting to Manager, Operations, assists with the administration of all facets of member services and deposit accounts, including Deposit Products, Term Deposits, Registered Products (RRSP, RRIF, RESPs), electronic banking, etc. Under direction, implements business development strategies to assist branches in expanding member base and ensure investment activities are in compliance with all sound business practices, legislation, regulations and policies and procedures. Provides support for branch staff to ensure proper procedures are followed with respect to sale and administration of all deposit-based products and to ensure excellent member service.
Responsibilities:
Provides support and resources to branch staff for the current banking system.
Assist Manager of Operations and acts as back up to ensure staff involved in the sale and administration of deposit and investment products are well trained and provided with current material.
Assist with product campaigns when appropriate. Attend meetings, provide training and make presentations when requested. Assists with branch support, for the Deposit and Member Services area of Credit Union, as a source for Sunrise investment and deposit products, Registered Plans and electronic banking.
Assist with the delivery of Collabria products and process, by rolling out new processes, forms and guidelines.
Assist with the delivery and act as a resource for the delivery of Electronic Banking to the membership and branch staff.
Works with Manager, Operations to ensure changes to branch process are received and that branch staff are notified of changes and how the changes affect the branch processes. ie: CUCM – Wires and TIC – Travel Insurance etc.
Act as sounding board from branches, listening to suggestions as how processes could be streamlined within the branches. Collect information, asking for information to provide clarity. Complete written information, in conjunction with Manager, Operations, and present to Regional Manager or supervising VP for consideration.
Participate actively in business, community and CU system activities as a means to raise awareness of and generate business for the credit union.
Keeping current of financial markets and trends. Recommend new products, fees, or service charges when appropriate. Research and recommend new or revised procedures pertaining to deposit products of the Credit Union.
Main resource on MemberDirect, Telephone Banking, Mobile Banking, e-Statements and Member Cards. Have a strong understanding of the product in order to support the branches and members as required.
Timely completion of reports assigned by the credit union.
Provide technical support and guidance to marketing department relative to the development of brochures and various marketing materials as they relate to deposit products and services.
Educational Requirements:
Preference will be given to those with Post Secondary Education and candidates with a proven track record in credit union/financial institution environment.
Minimum grade 12 education.
Experience:
Relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
