SST GmbH is looking for a fast-learning, responsible and enthusiastic Technical and Product Manager to be a part of a friendly and fast-growing company. Job Summary

Technical and Product Manager is responsible for ensuring all products comply with European and worldwide requirements by researching certification specs, liaising with testing and certification bodies and working with in-company specialists in manufacturing and procurement. They will also lead projects such as altering products for new markets, introduction of new product-related software, and perform other product management tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Research certification requirements for various products (residential, commercial and industrial, in the fields of electronics, electrical goods and mechanical parts) in Europe and worldwide including government-mandated and customer-required, and keeping the information up to date
  • Gathering, managing and prioritizing market/customer requirements
  • Working closely with in-company specialists in manufacturing and procurement to ensure continuous product compliance to standards as well as market expectations
  • Liaising with testing and certification organisations to obtain information and/or certification
  • Liaising with quality management specialists and auditors from ISO, IECEX and other certification bodies to ensure ongoing company ISO9001 certification and establish other company-wide certifications as required
  • Keeping company technical documentation and archives organised and up to date, including but not limited to ISO9001 and IECEX documentation, product datasheets, instructions and catalogues, presentations
  • Leading projects of introduction of new products to Europe and other markets by managing stakeholders, namely sales, in-house manufacturing, procurement and keeping to deadlines
  • Support in the introduction of new software

Key Competencies and Qualifications

  • Completed vocational training and/or a degree in engineering, quality management, business administration or technical studies or an equivalent level of experience
  • Previous experience in certification, quality management and/or product management of at least 3 years
  • Strong logical problem-solving approach, research and analytical skills
  • Independent working style, adherence to deadlines and high-quality standards, excellent time management
  • Highly numerate and strong analytical skills combined with good MS Office knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills, both in English and German. French a bonus
  • An active, innovative and enthusiastic approach to work, lots of initiative and ideas for improvement of products and processes. A passion for constant improvement
