Mobility, Immigration and Eligibility Team Leader [Saudi Arabia]


 

Who You'll Work With

You will be based in our Middle East Office (MEO) as part of the HR team.
Our Middle East office comprises 8 locations that include 1000+ consulting and non-consulting colleagues. You will also be part of the broader HR team in EEMA (Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa region).
You will work closely with the HR leadership and team and collaborate closely with other relevant functions within the Middle East office, EEMA region and firm, including people legal, immigration legal, payroll, talent management, mobility, recruiting and professional development. You will report to the MEO Manager of Human Resources.

What You'll Do

You will lead immigration process in the MEO across all locations (with Saudi Arabia as a key priority location and the UAE and Qatar also having significant volumes). This includes immigration processes for new hires as well as immigration and broader eligibility issues associated with colleagues' moves across mobility transfers, cross border staffing and remote working arrangements. You will have full ownership of MEO immigration requirements and delivery, working with internal and/or external legal counsel to ensure immigration and eligibility compliance.
You will work closely with the MEO office mobility committee as well as the global mobility operations COE on the complete mobility process; coordinate with relevant stakeholders and expert teams to solve broader eligibility risks (e.g. tax, benefits & employment law) associated with colleague moves in the firm; acting as the first point of contact for recruiting, PD and colleagues on MIE policies, guidelines and processes.
You will apply expertise and knowledge of mobility, MEO country specific immigration and eligibility risks, policies and processes to establish a world class immigration hub to serve all MEO locations: work with and manage a team of 1-2 immigration coordinators on inbound and outbound moves within MEO; build guidelines, apply robust policies and procedures in conjunction with the direction of the firm; communicate MIE policies and procedures, as well as risk management efforts, protecting the firm and firm members from risk; develop clear compliant immigration tracking and procedures to support the different types of visa categories and work permits within MEO locations; stay current on local regulations and coordinate with internal / external counsel on any changes; coordinate support and manage local Firm approved vendors/external counsel as relevant; manage local mobility requirements, coordinating office approval process as needed, and coordinating with HRBP’s on relocation and office on-boarding
for transfers; coordinate with firm expert teams to solve eligibility risks (e.g., tax, security etc.); lead other key HR and MIE initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • University degree with 6+ years of immigration and mobility experience
  • Knowledge of visa, local work authorization and labor requirements within the middle east region
  • Experience with immigration processes
  • Data management experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact with a diverse range of people
  • Strong problem-solving, ability to manage ambiguity with an open mind and positive attitude
