Bar Manager [Ireland]


 

ECS Recruitment are recruiting a Bar Manager for the client based in Wicklow.

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible to manage all aspects of Food & Beverage Service Operations in the Bar and delivering a consistently high standard of guest service in line with company requirements
  • To maximise the profitability of the food and beverage operations through effective purchasing, cost controls and sales
  • Ensure the smooth running of the bar operations
  • Ensure that all guests receive a high standard of service with the team providing a warm welcome and living the Company values
  • Oversee the recruitment and staff development to ensure the team operate at a high level and delivers great service and standards
  • Motivate, lead, support and guide your team
  • Control staffing levels and ensure the bar is adequately staffed for business levels, being aware of outside factors that may influence business and being ready to adapt accordingly
  • Ability to assist other departments as required
  • Always implement and maintain the SOPs for the bar, ensuring the team is trained and following the guidelines
  • Dealing with guest queries in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring the best customer care and satisfaction
  • Being aware of the business in the hotel ensures proactive planning takes place to always ensure the delivery of exceptional guest service
  • Being aware of VIP guests or guests’ special requests as required and communicating this to the teams within the department and with Head Chef
  • Ensure all customers are responded to promptly and effectively on complains and points learned are used to enhance future customer service
  • Continually develop new knowledge and skills to ensure best practice service delivery

Ideal Candidate

  • 3+ years previous hotel/hospitality work experience in a Bar supervisory or management level preferred
  • Ability to write and communicate with guests, solve multiple problems at the same time, set up priorities, organize work and make certain decisions
  • Excellent communication skills in the English Language and people management experience
  • Ability to develop team members and to work in a team environment
  • Demonstration of experience & success in managing a project or strategic change in the business

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: €40,000.00-€45,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Wicklow, County Wicklow: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Food and Beverage management: 3 years (required)
  • Bar Manager role: 3 years (required)

Work authorisation:

  • Ireland (required)
