The opportunity
A vacancy has arisen for a VAT Team Lead at Glanbia Business Services. This is a permanent role and will report to the Group VAT Manager.

Location:
This opportunity can be based in our offices in Dungarvan, Co Waterford / Kilkenny or Citywest, Dublin 24 with a blended working arrangement available through our Smart working model which allows you a greater choice in how you work and live, giving you a better work-life balance

Key elements of the role
Review of Indirect Tax compliance (including VAT, GST and Excise duties) for all Glanbia business units across multiple jurisdictions.
Preparation and delivery of Indirect tax advice to all business units.
Delegating work to and managing tax specialists on the team.
Working with Indirect Tax Manager and other Tax functions to develop and grow Glanbia Indirect Tax function and service offering.
Liaising with external Advisors in relation to Indirect tax compliance requirements.
Handle queries, provide advice and technical support, including training to internal and external customers with respect to Indirect tax issues.
Management of internal and external audits and liaising with relevant tax Authorities.
Indirect Tax Lead in Group wide projects to ensure our Indirect tax compliance requirements are maintained as the Group expands internationally into multiple jurisdictions
Proactively identify weaknesses in current processes relating to indirect tax matters and identifying solutions including automation so that issues are resolved in a timely manner.

The skills you will bring to the team
Qualifications
AITI tax qualified
3rd level degree in business, finance, accounting or similar qualification
Skills & experience
Previous experience in International Indirect tax reporting
Proven track record in the provision of high value tax work
Excellent technical skills
Management of people
Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical thinking and organisational skills
Ability to work independently, to work under pressure and to handle several projects at once
SAP experience an advantage
