YOUR DAILY ADVENTURE
The UI Technical Artist Intern is a hybrid role functioning between the art and programming domain.
The individual will be responsible for pushing the visual quality and the tech behind our UI art, keeping performance and budget in check. The key mission of the UI Technical Artist Intern is to learn and deliver the game shipped with AAA quality UI Art and animation, guided by our UI Technical Artist.
Besides providing technical support for artists and programmers, the UI Technical Artist Intern will learn and support the design team in creating functional UI for prototype purposes. The individual will undergo the basic UIUX principles to deliver basic usable UI, with support from the UI Artists and UI Technical Artist.
The UI Technical Artist Intern will embark on understanding of the UI pipeline.
The role has a significant emphasis on visual quality, technical knowledge and compliance, collaboration and creative problem solving.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Technical Art
- As a Technical Artist Intern, you will work closely with the team to help select, prepare, and adapt tools that will be used throughout the UI aspect of production.
- Learn to Integrate UI in the game using our in-house engine (Anvil) and UI Tool (Phoenix).
- Assist in building standards in visual quality and develop pixel perfect attention to the UI integrated in-game.
- Learn to provide UI technical support for UI artists and programmers.
- Learn to deal with Bug and how to fix in the day-to-day UI related features.
Pipelines, Tool, and Processes
- Discover the Documentation and adopting the best practices.
- UI Tech Art reference
- Learn the UI pipelines and explore the limitations of our tool
- Understand our tool ecosystem and framework.
Communication and Collaboration
· Collaborate closely with the respective team members (PMs, designers, artists, and programmers) to integrate the required UI in the game. · Assist team members in overcome technical challenges and suggest feasible solutions in design discussions.
- Learn and understand dependencies and resources needed from other teams in order to deliver the tasks.
