The Post Placement Support Officer provides specialised support to Community Development Program (CDP) participants who have secured employment to improve employment retention, build confidence, and initiate positive experiences for both the employee and the employer.
This role will work closely with both the CDP Participant and employer to identify any barriers that may impact employment and address them promptly. This role will seek to address barriers and skill gaps by working closely with the job seeker, employer, and CDP site staff to develop effective supports and interventions to ensure the job seekers retention in employment.
This role is based in Darwin, Northern Territory, with two weeks spent in community every month.

Responsibilities
- Undertake post placement support with CDP participants involving mentoring and support.
- Communicate with CDP participants, employers, and CDP team to ensure all duties and responsibilities are being met. Ensure appropriate contact is maintained and post placement schedule is up to date.
- Follow up wage subsidy evidence and calculate for instalment payments. Monitor the claims and report to manager any concerns
- Keep up to date with contractual changes and trends and apply this knowledge to daily duties and responsibilities.
Skills and Experience
- Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport and sustain working relationships.
- Ability to work to KPI’s.
- Ability to complete Contractual compliance and other reporting requirements.
- Attention to detail.
- MS Office Suite and other software-based reporting programs
- Ability to obtain a NT Ochre Card and a Full, Manual Drivers Licence
- Ability to Salary Package up to $15,900PA with additional Meal and Entertainment options
