An exciting opportunity for a experienced DV counsellor to be part of something rewarding. Enriching the lives of Indigenous children and families to assist in providing abuse and neglect free families and environments.

About The Employer:

A state-wide Community Legal and Support Centre, with offices across regional NSW. A not-for-profit organisation that provides free legal services, including welfare support, counselling, advocacy and community education to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander victims of family violence and/or sexual assault.

Position Specifics:
Responsible for the provision and delivery of high quality, culturally sensitive counselling and effective care coordination for victims of Family and Domestic Violence.

Your Background May Incl:

Offering a solid demonstrated understanding in the areas of Child
Protection, Domestic & Family Violence.
Displaying a cultural appreciation/understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Genuinely wanting to make a difference to the lives of Indigenous families, children, victims the vulnerable & disadvantaged.

Essential Requirements

 Territory Qualified
 Current open driver’s license
 Holder of a Working with Children Blue Card, or the ability to obtain one.
 Willingness to undertake a National Police Clearance check.
